I created BE Artistic Designs after searching for the perfect coffee mug for my boyfriend—something cute, inspiring, funny, or at least memorable. Instead, I kept finding the same generic designs over and over again.

Then I came across a mug that said:

“This is Bob. Bob has no arms.”

Underneath was a stick figure with no arms, followed by:

“Knock knock.”
“Who’s there?”
“It isn’t Bob.”

Apparently, that mug had sold over 1,000 copies that month. Then I found another listing for the exact same mug… with another 1,000+ sales.

As someone who went to school for graphic design, I had one immediate thought:

We can do better than this.

So BE Artistic Designs was born—a shop built around mugs and designs with more personality, more style, and a little more meaning than a stick figure named Bob.

Whether it’s sarcastic, empowering, artistic, rebellious, or just something that makes you smile during your morning coffee, the goal is simple:

Create things people actually connect with.
